My First Acrylics

On Monday I got to go to Hobby Lobby and pick up some supplies.. and I finally got a set of Acrylic Paints! They are a decent brand.. not too much with my 40% off coupon! :) I'm going to try them out this week.. and will post some pics of my painting attempts later! :P

Got Hoot?

Today I received this hand carved owl stamp from Donna (dmarie) for the Profile Based OTT swap on Swap-bot.com. I would have gotten this for my birthday if we weren't snowed in!

I tested it out as soon as I got it.. and then when I was almost done with the letters I realized that I don't have any punctuation stamps!! :P

This pic also made my THIRD pic for my 365 set!! Now I just need to make a note to keep up with it!

I also received this awesome paper garland for the swap - Ultimate Year of Happy Mail #27 ~Mini Garland from CArollinbabe. I love the colors!! Now I have something on my walls! :)

Paper Garland

Today I made some paper garland! It's my first attempt, so please don't be too harsh! I made them double sided.. so it can be displayed on whichever side.. or it can have every other one different. I thought they were too plain so I added a bunch of glitter around the edges.. and now you CAN'T see the SCALLOPS!! :( Maybe I went overboard with the glitter.. Guess it's better than not enough!! :P

First pic is the second in my 365 series.. and the other two are just showing the paper print of each side. :)

My birthday!

Today is my birthday.. I turned a whopping 26! I can't believe it.. I feel old.. and I feel like I haven't done anything with my life.. which under the circumstances I was given.. is completely understandable. Anywho.. I decided a few weeks ago.. that I wanted to be more creative in my life... Soooooo I'm going to do a 365 PHOTO SET! My best friend does not have high hopes for this.. but I do! :)

Anyways.. here is my first picture.. from today! Kinda boring... but we are snowed in.. and I didn't know what else to take pictures of.. :) I will also post these pictures to a 365 folder on my flickr account..

I know I haven't posted in a long time.. and this year has had a bad start so far.. (I was sick for almost 3 weeks straight.. and that certainly didn't help) but this year is going to be different.. like I said before.. more creating! :) Hopefully I can keep this motion going..
